Dylan B LatPS 78 st

For the longest time, I thought the image showed Elvis & Bob inside a car but I have since learned that it was Bob & Sarah. If anyone has a clearer image, which we obviously very much need, please leave a comment.

bobsboots shows a different previously unseen stamped label:

“is that dude taping the show?”

  1. Yesdays said:

I don’t have a clearer image of the insert cover, but I’m still not sure that could be a crazy hazy snap click pic of Sara …..maybe Bob Neuwirth, Rob Stoner, or even a guy (like a famous rock star) with long sideburns, but …..Sara?

  2. I have a copy of the black vinyl edition of BOB DYLAN – LIVE AT THE PIT STOP 78/GAZA STRIP with the day-glow orange insert cover. Paid $35 for it about twenty-five years ago as I figured I’d never find another copy – I’ve been right so far. The suggestion that it’s a photo of “Sarah” [sic] Dylan in the car with Dylan comes from the Dylan vinyl bootleg guide THE GREAT WHITE ANSWERS. I think this guess might be correct, though I know of no single photo that the image might have been culled from. I think the graphic artist might have clipped separate images of both Dylan and Sara – if, indeed, it is Sara – and pasted them into the car’s windshield. Personally, I think it’s Patti Smith, not Sara, riding shotgun with Dylan on the LP insert. The matrix on the black vinyl edition is Side One 79-152M, Side Two 79-153M. The “- Side 1 -” and “- Side 2 -” black stamps appears as on the top photograph of the vinyl hanging from the sleeve.

      • I could post a close-up photo to my FB page if that would help you to identify. Let me know.
