Does the ETS bootleg sound similar to this?

The album title is derived from the Stevie Wonder original song covered on this tour and the correct spelling is “Higher Ground”.

The cover design is a straight rip off of Gary’s December 1983 album with this title:

moore-g-votf-2

moore-g-higher-g-b

This 1984 European (German? – not sure why they bothered attempting to make this look like a Japanese release when they were going to use a German copyright disclaimer around the label rim anyway) bootleg pertains to also have been recorded at the same concert. The track list is different and can be confirmed here: http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/gary-moore/1983/hammersmith-odeon-london-england-6bc6624a.html

Side A:  Sound check / Intro: Majestuoso E Virtuoso / The End Of The World
Side B:  Warhead / Drum solo / Wishing Well / Rockin ‘Every Night / Cold Hearted / Nuclear Attack
Side C:  I Can not Wait Until Tomorrow / Don’t Take Me For A Loser / Theme (Colosseum II) / Drum solo / Theme (Colosseum II) continued
Side D:  Hurricane / White Knuckles / Rocking And Rolling / Back On The Streets / Parisienne Walkways / Higher Ground / Always Gonna Love You

Quality rating: ‘Vgs’ in HOTWACKS

A Japanese Gary Moore blog speculated that this title may also include excerpts or the whole performance as broadcast as part of the RockPop Live In Concert German TV broadcast from 19 December 1982 but I am confident that this is not the case.

My conclusion is that Hurricane was recorded during the Japan tour, while HIGHER GROUNDS is likely from the Hammersmith Odeon as stated on its back cover.
